Mr Tee Tone Vei is the Founder and Director of THC. He graduated with BSc. in Electrical Engineering from South Dakota State University (USA) & MBA from University of South Australia. He has been trained in Temperature/Humidity measurement, calibration and instrumentation at UKAS (UK) and SPRING (Singapore).

Tee is a Member of the Expert Committee and Chairperson of Heating Appliances Working Group for SIRIM and Department of Standards Malaysia in Safety of Household and Electrical Appliances for SIRIM MS Standard & Malaysian representative in IEC Standards. He also represented Malaysia in IEC conference for Energy and Resource Saving Standards.

Formerly, Tee had been the Co-founder, Head of R&D and General Manager for South East Asia's largest heater & thermo sensor group of companies for thirteen years, a company which designs and manufactures heating element for more than 80% of water heater brands in the whole of South East Asia.

Some of Tee's experiences include designing and constructing heating system for leading European companies.

 

 

Ir. Chua Keng Seng is the Technical Director of THC . He graduated in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Malaya in 1974.

Ir. Chua had been in the HVAC industry for over thirty-five years accumulating experience in design, specification, procurement, installation, commissioning, servicing, trouble shooting, marketing and sales of air conditioning, refrigeration, heat pumps and ventilation systems.

One of his specialties was in the field of District Cooling Systems in which he was appointed as the in-house Specialist Consultant for OGP Technical Services Sdn Bhd, a Petronas subsidiary in project management consultancy for Putrajaya Precinct 2 Plant with a cooling capacity of 30,000 ton, by far the largest operating District Cooling Plant in Malaysia.

He had worked as a Consultant for a listed company which operated two district cooling plants, one of them included an ice storage system. Meanwhile, he is also an Advisor to a design and manufacturing company to develop heat pump systems for hot water and industrial heating systems.

Over the last thirty years Ir. Chua had involved in teaching and training of various aspects of HVAC, includes part-time lecturing in University of Malaya, University Technology Petronas, Monash University Sunway Campus and public seminars, on the subject of Air Conditioning System Design.

 


Prof. Ir. Dr. Ong Kok Seng is the Technical Advisor of THC. He graduated with a BSc. in Mechanical Engineering from London University in 1965. He also holds a MSc. in Thermal Power & Process Engineering and a PhD in Thermodynamics & Fluid Mechanics, from London University in 1966 and 1971 respectively.

Formerly, Prof. Ir. Dr. Ong was the Deputy Dean, Faculty of Engineering of University Malaya. He is now the Associate Professor in Monash University Malaysia for the Engineering faculty. His main fields of specialization are Thermodynamics, Heat Transfer, Mechanical Engineering Design and Industrial R&D.

Prof. Ir. Dr. Ong has had forty years of teaching experiences on subjects such as Air-conditioning and Refrigeration, Applied Mechanics (Statics), Applied Thermodynamics, Design and Engineering Drawing, Fluid Mechanics, Heat Exchangers, Heat Transfer, Heat Pumps, Solar Energy, Strength of Materials and Structures.

Prof. Ir. Dr. Ong had published numerous books and academic journals. He has also reviewed numerous papers for Applied Energy, Solar Energy, Renewable and Sustainable Energy and Heat Transfer Engineering.

Being professionally qualified as a Corporate Engineer, he spends most of his time on research areas of solar energy, heat recovery, heat pipes, heat pumps, energy conservation and drying. He is also the first person to have brought in solar thermal to Malaysia.
